The
Opportunity

Hevolution has partnered with the King Saud University with a 10M Riyals (US $40M) donation over five years to incentivize and mobilize study around aging, with the possible culmination of a research chair within the establishment.

This financial support will help catalyze current resources to advance aging research by incentivizing translational research in the field of aging science, and by doing so increase the number of innovative products on the market that are increasing healthy lifespan, whilst contributing towards the Vision 2030 objectives economy diversification and transformative healthcare.

Why?

The Middle East, and Saudi Arabia specifically, has one of the youngest populations in the world but some of the highest mortality rates due to chronic conditions like heart disease and diabetes - just one indication that people here are aging faster biologically, instead of chronologically

Being able to center aging research and initiatives in one of the regions most impacted by it is key to making healthspan therapies globally equitable.

“ We are thrilled to not just share geographical roots but an impassioned sense of purpose, with Hevolution Foundation. The science of aging has been long misinterpreted, focusing on singular diseases instead of viewing aging as a condition itself. This contribution from Hevolution will allow us to put much-needed resources behind elevating this area of study and make actionable steps forward in bringing solutions directly to the people that need them, transforming society as we know it. ”
